Meet My Success Story

It’s very rare in the digital age, to meet someone who represents himself or herself in person just as they do online. However, Kandia’s fiery passion for her craft is so much larger than a media persona.  Kandia’s skill and eye for talent are just a few of her finest qualities. She has not only developed an effective brand strategy for my company but also has enhanced my personal brand visibility.
As a result, I ‘m a co-host on one of PBS’s longest running cooking shows, America’s Test Kitchen, and my brand, SheChef Inc. is growing exponentially.

Meet My Success Story

Kandia helped me discover more clarity and hone in on how to share my story.  She really provides the tools and resources you need to do things on your own which in the long run gives you another level of expertise in managing your vision.

Kandia presented a level of authenticity that was relatable and professional. Her vulnerability made me comfortable to share my own story.

Since getting clear and confident about sharing her story, has launched a podcast Amerikan Therapy, an HBCU Mental Health College Tour and landed press features in Rolling Out, MyTV Baltimore,  AfroNews and more.

Here’s My Story.

I transformed my life from working as a corporate communication and learning consultant for a Fortune 500 company to founder of Kandid Conversations a communication consulting and training company. I started my own company to teach executives, change makers and entrepreneurs how to speak up with confidence and master their story so they can position themselves as leading authorities in their field.

On a mission to help amplify the voices of hidden figures—women of color who are often underserved, underestimated and underrepresented, I’ve published articles focused on leadership, entrepreneurship and women’s stories of success and failures.

As a frequent workshop presenter on communications skills and leadership development topics, I’ve delivered talks and workshops throughout the United States and Africa. To date, I’ve been invited to speak at conferences and events for influential brands such as the U.S. Navy, The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference, Harvard University Business School, Williams Sonoma, The James Beard Foundation, The WIE Symposium and African Women in Technology.
