Recently I read the first email I wrote to Kandia for help, and I had a good laugh. At a time, my life was seemingly collapsing, was beaten to the ground, and not just that, I was struggling with my self-esteem, and nothing made sense.
All I knew, I was a failure.
Kandia has held my hand, challenged me, helped me battle impostor syndrome, self-sabotage, failure & rejection. A few of the greatest lessons I have learned from her is: "We always have a chance to turn things around, to learn and grow."
I reached out to her when my voice was barely audible. Now, I am the loudest on those catch-up meetings and I can confidently ask questions about different things and in a composed manner. I wasn't able to do it last year.
