Market and Promote Your Work

The Most Powerful Way To Market Your Work

Posted on Posted in Career

“You can’t do it alone.”This is one of the hardest truths you’ll ever have to accept in life—especially if you’re looking to build a successful business or rewarding career.

The reality is it takes a“tribe,” or a group of like-minded people who can help spread the word about your work around the world.

Although the concept of tribes is nothing new, now more than ever in a noisy digital world, finding and leading a tribe is a game-changing boss move.

In fact, you probably witness tribes in action all day every day.

From Garret popcorn and Spanx to the infamous Kindle, when Oprah talked about new products or services, she introduced the business to gazillions of people (her tribe) around the world. Next thing you know, the products were selling like crazy.

Thankfully,  the same principle applies to you and me. The process is pretty simple and straightforward: Build trust with an audience. Guide them in their work by consistently providing actionable advice, and inspiration which helps them achieve their goals and desires.

And the good news is you don’t have to build a tribe from scratch. Seth Godin, a marketing expert who coined the term, summarized the process perfectly: All you have to do is find people who are already connected and show up consistently to lead them by helping them to achieve their goals.
