Check out a few of my past case studies.
Communication strategy & planning
Promoting Productivity On The Go
A multinational pharmaceutical company was ready to use mobile applications to process their daily tasks.
Kandia ‘s task was to figure out ways to engage and educate employees about how mobile technology could be used to transform the business.
Following a facilitated brainstorming session with the client, Kandia created a theme for the campaign including a signature logo, flyers, videos, social media strategy and web copy for a mobile portal. She also worked with a team of graphic artist and videographers to produce inspirational videos.
Launching the US Navy Diversity as a Strategic Imperative Campaign
The United States Navy needed help spreading awareness about their commitment to Diversity.
Kandia approached this project with one of her own personal guiding principles, “define or be defined.” In collaboration with a team of public information officers, instructional designers, graphic designers and senior level naval officers she produced videos, posters and instructional materials that would resonate with the air, land and sea Naval communities.
Using her flair for communicating with diverse audiences, Kandia along with Senior Chiefs Petty Officers, delivered executive level presentations to various Naval commands throughout the nation.
Think Globally, Act Locally
A healthcare organization based in the United States needed help implementing a workforce-restructuring plan throughout North America and Europe. Because a “one size fits all” solution doesn’t fit global markets, the organization needed to consider specific communication requirements such as the language, diverse audience needs, delivery timeline and technology barriers.
While working with a team of regional and local resources Kandia designed toolkits that communicated the key messages and frequently asked questions for executives, managers and employees. She also created a series of e-mail templates and video scripts that could easily be localized for each country.
Communication assessment, channels & social media
Are We Prepared to Go Social?
A state social service system was ready to enter into the world of social media to increase their visibility with their local child care providers. they didn’t know how to create content that was consistent with the brand of the agency or identify the right channels to reach their targeted audience.
Kandia conducted a social media assessment to identify audience needs, goals, specific channels, success metrics and resources needed to launch a social media strategy.
Corporate communications & employee engagement
The Art of Employee Engagement
A management consultant firm wanted to increase employee awareness and participation in industry specific events. As the National Communication Lead Kandia consulted with Leaders across industries to develop and execute internal marketplace events . Events included roundtables/seminars, industry conferences, events, town halls, hot topic session, etc. She also served as the Editor in Chief, managing the editorial calendar and making sure corporate communication standards and guidelines were followed.
A Man With a Vision and a Voice but NO Plan
One of the biggest challenges for aspiring entrepreneurs is figuring out how to execute their vision and turn passion into profit. Jeffrey had always dreamed of owning his own fitness company. Although he had over 15 years of experience in personal and sports fitness training, he didn’t know how to build his personal brand or a dedicated community of followers.
After a few inspiration sessions, Kandia helped Jeffrey craft his brand positioning statement, identify a target audience and package his unique services into a profitable service.
Empowering Young Girls to Explore
A non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young girls from rural South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers, needed help gaining international sponsors and partners and promoting their career expo.
Kandia create a targeted media list, press releases and sponsorship packages to help raise awareness and support.
Training & development
In Search of The Truth
A state community college system responsible for the management of 23 colleges across 40 campuses, received a large number of negative reviews from employees regarding the lack of information and support available from administration.
Following a learning need assessment, Kandia worked with university administrators, department leads and a cross-functional team to develop instructor led training, on-line support tools and applications.
Moving From Paper Based to electronic Based Systems
Regardless of the industry, today’s business environment requires a workforce that can process task efficiently.
A manufacturing company needed help transitioning its sales, human resources and supply chain processes from paper based to an electronic based system. Kandia led a team of training developers in the US and India through the instructional design process and developed over 40 modules of electronic and instructor led training.
